Hey Reader! Today I wanted to remind you that the great things you're envisioning for yourself are infinitely more important than your statistical "successes". I saw this YouTube Short recently. And I thought ough that's so real. Numbers follow us absolutely everywhere don't they... and most of the time they carry so much shame. They restrict us and keep us stuck! I'm always amazed by that type of person who is fueled by their own inner creative vision. Someone who doesn't let numbers get to them. They already KNOW their art, their business, their creativity is more than enough. They already trust in their own worth! They don't rely on getting lots of views and followers to feel worthy. It doesn't matter to them whether they stick to habits and "do [thing] X times per week". They put trust in their long-term growth. They never rush through something, because they know their worth doesn't depend on how quickly they finish things. They don't care about achieving X number of things by a certain age. They trust their own vision for life. They know they're gonna make the right decisions for *them*, and it doesn't matter if others judge them. I'd be lying if I said I didn't carry an immense amount of guilt around these things. I'm sure it's normal. But we can choose to be like that person above. The real measure of creative success isn’t in analytics. It’s in the work itself. The work that feels right to you, that means something, that comes from a place of authenticity, connection, and self-expression. Trust your vision and see where it takes you. It might actually change your perception of "success". Much love ✌🏻 Damon 🌱 Stuff I'm Doing Recently 🌱March Week #1 Find me on: Instagram | TikTok |

Goooood morning Reader! Lately I've been doing some new things to reconnect with my creativity (it felt extremely lost the past few years 😅) I've been spending time outside, touching/smelling/looking at plants and stuff to feel more grounded. I've also been playing with paints, pencils, and oil pastels just for funsies. Being online or working on computers, a lot of us are rarely doing stuff that is... physical. We don't really use our body much. (And I don't mean just in terms of exercise,...
How's it going Reader! I never expected I'd be able to use AI efficiently to help me with stuff. I was convinced that text-based AI like ChatGPT was just for churning out cringey slop. And considering the damage that image-generating AI has done to the digital art industry... I'd rather just avoid the whole lot. Evil stuff. But I definitely see the merit in using AI tools to help with tasks you otherwise struggle with. Especially as most of us are doing our creative work entirely on our own....
Happy Thursday Reader I want to get real technical and nerdy today. 🤓 Let's talk about the things you actually need when you're in the foundational stage of creative business. The internet loves to tell us that we should be making money immediately from our creative work. And that we're doing it wrong if we can't do that. Hmmm......... this is not reality for the majority of people. The foundational stage of a creative business can last months or even years. (It has indeed been years for me...
